Before the lighting renovation, a certain steel company's hot rolling plant used traditional metal halide lamps in the early stage, which had low light efficiency, high usage, high power consumption, high failure rate, and large after-sales maintenance, and could not guarantee the lighting needs of on-site production. The on-site lighting is manually turned on and off, which sometimes leads to forgetting or misoperation, and it is impossible to effectively monitor the lighting situation remotely. After the existing lighting system malfunctions, it can only visually identify the location of the damaged lamps on site, and cannot identify whether it is a lamp failure or a circuit problem, which increases the difficulty and cost of maintenance.

Solution

In order to solve the above problems and meet the actual lighting needs on site, a smart lighting renovation was carried out on the hot rolling plant.

In the selection of lighting fixtures, LED ceiling lights were chosen to replace the original metal halide lamps with LED light sources, achieving energy conservation and environmental protection. The lighting fixtures also have dimming function, which can meet the illumination adjustment needs of different working scenarios during different time periods, day and night. In addition, LED ceiling lights also meet various installation methods such as hook type, hanger type, U-shaped bracket, etc., which are convenient for lamp modification and installation, and also help reduce the maintenance cost of lamps in the future.
