Project Background

XX Sports Training Base is located in the southern suburbs of Kunming City. It is a multifunctional and comprehensive high-altitude sports training base with football as the leader and tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming, track and field as the main body. Among the 8 basketball courts before the renovation, 1 was a professional competition court and 7 were amateur competition courts. The illumination was less than 300lx and the brightness was low, which could not meet the training and competition requirements and the lighting standards of sports venues (the illumination standard for amateur competitions was 500lx, and for professional competitions it was 750lx).

Solution

The basketball court lighting requires high illumination and glare from the lamps. Based on the lighting situation of some basketball courts in the Haigeng Sports Training Base in Yunnan, after on-site testing and communication on lighting scheme design, it was finally decided to replace the original lamps with 200W LED floodlights. The 200W LED floodlight has a wide, medium, narrow, and off center light distribution, which is beneficial for improving the illumination of the work surface and fully meeting the lighting needs of the venue. The scientific light distribution design ensures uniform and soft light, providing a bright and comfortable lighting environment for athletes' competition and training. In this renovation, a total of 286 sets of 200W LED floodlights were used, and the illumination values of 8 basketball courts met the standards, greatly improving the on-site lighting environment.
